CHALLENGE
CarExpert is an Australian website that provides automotive news and car reviews. The platform was launching a new product, the Sold Price Report, which uses live market data to inform people what others have recently paid for a new car in their local area. Our challenge was twofold; launch both the CarExpert and the Sold Price Report as the automotive website had never undertaken a major advertising campaign.
SOLUTION
Taking inspiration from the well-known saying, ‘a little bird told me’, we wanted people to feel that the CarExpert gave them inside information. Because by visiting the website and using the Sold Price Report they would learn important sales data that could save them money. The bird also acted as a unique brand device helping people associate it with the CarExpert.
IMPACT
Increased average daily visitors to site to 150K.
Surpassed 4M visitors to site within a 28-day period for first time.
Moved to #1 ranked car review site in Australia based on site traffic.
